LG G2?

Cool.

Keep us updated on your experience with the phone. I have almost decided to get it. I want to wait until the first of the month but I might not be able to wait that long.
Might want to pik it up.

Only (in stock) BestBuy near me was 40 min away. They seem to be scarce.

Like they said, if you were interested, you shouldn't wait.
This is the not coming back price from Best Buy.

The AT&T and Verizon versions sold out fast, no pickup no shipping left.
This Sprint version is (in my area) down to shipping only, no more around for pickup.

Its an old model, they wont carry it after it's gone.

OK. You guys convinced me. Just ordered the black one. Had some problems with the app and the site but the order went through finally. All stores are sold out. Apparently they still are shipping direct though but that won't last long either.

I have to say you all will just love the LG G2,I've had mine for a little over a year now.And I really enjoy mine and even recommended it to a friend and he got one to .He loves his too.And yes we got the Lollipop 5.0.2 update to both AT&T and Verizon.

Yup, last update gave me 5.0.2, no service yet, over WiFi.

Edit: This seems to be considered LG software, firmware won't update wout service.
OK. I was wondering how it would update without activation, but I can see how Google stuff would update over WiFi anyway.

I wonder if we will get the Lollypop update from Boost?

Both Sprint, then Boost started 3 weeks ago sending 5.0.2 out over the air.
You will get it directly from Boost - all 630MB of it.

Keep that in mind for your first month of service.

Got the phone today and finally got it activated. The online Boost rep was an idiot and told me twice that it was not compatible. Lol. I had told insist on speaking to a supervisor. He put me on hold and when he came back he could not stop apologizing. He simply would not listen. Anyway, love this phone so far. Already had 2 updates and a 3rd wants to download

3rd for me was Lollipop.

Wondering if the Boost push of Lollipop will be much different than the WiFi LG version, guessing just bloatware.

Edit: I love this phone. I thank the Lord that peeps want 'new' phones and let phones like the G2 fall into the clearance bin.

Yep. Just got Lollipop! This phone rocks! I now get LTE at home most of the time. Rarely got it on my S3

I don't have wifi at home, so I used over 2GB doing those 3 updates and some app updates. Not even close to getting all my apps installed. I will use Wifi for the rest. Lol. Might get throttled this month. Got 7 days left.

Love this phone.

Yeah, Love this phone too. Fantastic horsepower, and battery, plus screen res at 5.2inch
Even Lolipop is growing on me. I like the LG skinned version.

And name brand cases are cheap on eBay since its "old" :)

That Lolipop update almost got me to my 2GB for this month too, not throttled yet

Battery has been great and that includes a pounding this morning on wifi installing apps. Since 5AM almost 12 hours with about 8 estimated hours left. This was not a normal day so if this phone continues like this i am cool with no replaceable battery option. Lollipop is fine so far

The bloat is really not bad. Some stuff can be uninstalled. I really like the FM radio. Lol. I have installed most of my apps and they are so much faster than on the S3

The only reason that i would root is to install a hotspot. That comes in handy but I seldom use it anymore. Don't need a custom rom that loses stock functionality.

I wonder if this is the last update we will get.

Wifi seems a lot pickier than the S3. Got to explore this more.
It is pickier. There are some public Wi-Fi spots that work with my S3 but not with the G2. I have tried turning off connections manager but not convinced it stays off. I will do more testing next week after the holiday. The best spots with the strongest signal are working fine. Haven't tried them all yet.

LG G2 Screen problems..

Ordered a phone, it came, and right away I began to see problems. Parts of the screen would not respond, and then the screen would go haywire. Also I would see LCD May Be Damaged message. So I told the dealer and they sent another one, same problem. Looked online, and apparently this happens a lot. Did the draw test, you can draw a straight line and then it stops and picks up after you pass over the dead spot. Solution online seems to be to replace the digitizer, but as the problem is random when it happens i wanted to ask if any of you had this and found another solution.

This is why I ask. Like I said, ordered the phone, and it came and then it updated over the Wireless before I even activated. it. I was waiting to activate because I'm switching carriers at the start of the new month. So the Software did update, but not the firmware. Curious if the firmware, once the phone is activated, could offer a fix to this problem.

That is amazing support for the old flagship, new LG UX 4.0 interface, and new G4 camera interface included.

A friend just got the G2. They would not activate it over the phone. He had to go to a Boost store. They couldn't get it activated with data. They ordered a Boost SIM to replace the Sprint SIM.

Mine got activated over the phone 2 months ago with only a little guff from the rep.

What is up with this? We both bought Sprint G2 from Best Buy.

He finally got activated over the phone after a week of bad information from several reps. He finally got a supervisor who knew what to do.
