LG G3 Accessories Thread

I thought about getting one of these,just for the QI/NFC,& removing the front cover.

However,after seeing a couple YouTube videos w/unboxing/installation,I'm not liking the design at all,especially how the case wraps around the edges of the phone:

Apparently LG doesn't like the look of it either,as this video,from LG,shows a much different/sleeker fit:

I hope you enjoy the case Maine Coon,but,I'm definitely taking a pass on it.

Thanks for the videos.

I had such cases in my cheap chinese phones and I really liked those cases.

Extra screen protection after all, and should be good for the video shooting, which I plan to use a lot.

As of using it instead of looking at beautiful G3 screen, don't think so :D

Kind of surprised that LG or even 3rd party vendors haven't launched separate back covers that support wireless. Might be an exclusive so the carriers can make money off it, but that shouldn't stop some manufacturers.

In the same vein, I am surprised that the spare battery, the BL-53-YH hasn't been offered with some sort of OEM battery charger on ebay or some other site.

Patience is not my forte.

No problem! Yeah, I've heard that's the easy way to return, but haven't had the opportunity to refuse a delivery before, even for things I return.

And their return policy, without the refusal, is pretty awesome anyway.

Amazon returns are easy.
But if you tell them something like"made an order by mistake" etc they ask you to pay for the return shipment.

Which is fair btw.

Refusing delivery is the easiest way to get your money back.

No real reason to pay $30 + $8 when you can get 2 for $8.

Me thinks :D
 
It has been reported on xda that US and korean versions have different QI layout.

I asked the seller to cancel the order.

We'll see.
 
they say Qi are different on the Korean vs international version of G3.

Korean QC case might not work on the US phones for Qi/NFC.

Bummer :(

Wireless contacts are different in Korean vs international;

LG G3 European version unboxing and hands-on | Android Central

Around the 1 minute mark he takes the back covers off and you can see the difference

Hmmm...He mentions the battery cover, but both phones appear to have 4 contacts (on the actual phone). What they should have pointed out was that the contacts, on the actual phones, are spaced out differently. Looks like the Korean model, the contacts are evenly spaced, but the European model has a bigger gap between the wireless charging and NFC contacts.

So, we'll just have to see which configuration translates to the US version. I'd imagine that the European configuration would be the same as the US, since there's no TV antenna for the Euro version, but I guess we'll have to wait and see.

it's been confirmed by someone who won T-Mo G3 that US and European versions have the same layout.
