Lg G3 camera focus issue

Ive had my phone since launch, and it has allways behaved well untill recently.
Sometimes when i start camera app it wont focus at all, even if i try manually to refocus. Ive tryed other apps, same thing, tryed to clean the lens and ir sensor without luck. This happens if i open the app thru shortcut, as well as usual way. This doesnt happen every time, but it seems to happen more often now than before.
I have not tryed to reset the phone to facroey settings yet, im trying to awoid that for as long as possible.

It seems that there are others With similar issues, but no too many.
Any fixes available, any known reason to this? Other expierences?
 
Ok, it seems i found the problem. I went back to the factory installation. After that everything worked fine. I started to install one app after another, and only after i had instaled snapchat it started occasinally to fail. I unninstaled snapchat and cleaned cash register. Haven't had any issue since than...

For me it was a solution, hope this can help others in trouble with similas issue.
 
Update - snapchat wasnt an issue. The problem with focus is still there.

By the way, i've been told there will be a new update coming in august..
 
Have you already fixed it?

I have the same issue. In my case AF area sign - [ + ]; becomes blue however preview isn't sharper. I even tried to use some camera mod for G3 that I had found but it didn't help.
 
I returned my phone for warranty check. It was faulty camera sensor. They changed it and it has been eorking great since. Hope this helps.
