Help LG G3 D855 vs D855K

Hey all,
So I live in the great country down-under (Australia) and am excited that we are going to be getting the G3 on Monday. However I just discovered via this soure (LG G3 D855K TD-LTE (LG B2) Specs | Technical Datasheet | PDAdb.net) that we will be getting the D855K version. This irritates me, as I am big on the developement side of things (always flashing ROMS) and am worried that if a ROM is released for D855, I won't work on the D855K. So my question is, is this a legitimate concern? Or will ROMS with D855 work fine, its just a letter. Or is there some way to change the model number? I've been waiting for months for this device and to have it only ~36 hours away from release is great, I don't really want to order off eBay and wait for shipping from the UK if I don't have to.

Thanks for your attention!

Brad

whats the difference between them both?

I'm not too fussed about the hardware, 16gb or 32gb, but mainly about the availability of ROMS. i'm nota dev, but i have tried to root the ausy version of the Galaxy ace for example and it has been a nighmare simply because the model nmber had a T on the end of it. I suppose i can always go for it and if its too much hassel sell it and buy the international and just the a hit to the wallet

Fellow aussie here. How did you go with the G3? Did you experience any of the crashes or lags reported on Whirlpool? I could sign up to the G3 from Optus, just to get better warranty. But I'm not sure how that stsys up to date with firmware updates.

Hey man!
I ended up discovering that indeed Australia is only doing the 16GB model with 2gb RAM, so I didn't want any of that and ordered it from ebay - express shipping. BTW, get it from Vodafone if you in the city mate, I work for the company, we are doing the G3 for $70 + $0 w/ 3GB 4G internet and unlimited calls and texts :) we cover the phone for the whole 2 year contract period, so if anything goes wrong, we can help ya out.

Sorry, no can do Vodafone with all the best intentions (after they dismounted the 850 towers while people were still on contract). I'm BYO at Optus with $30p/m no contract. With an extra $23p/m I can get the G3. This works out to $23x24=$552. At TopBuy, the G3 is $525+39 delivery. I bought from them before, was all good for a cheaper phone, but for a G3 I'd like some warranty. BTW the TopBuy model is also the 16Gb.
