Help LG G3 loses default ringtone

I set the default ringtone to one that I downloaded from Zedge.

Test it and it works.

Next day phone rings and it is back to a ringtone that came with the phone...

Annoying! Any ideas?

Thanks!

I thought I was going crazy!!! Are you on Verizon? This happened all of the time with my S3 I was hoping that it would stop. It's happened a few times on my new G3 I pick a ringtone (stock not even a song) it always goes back to the default (VZW Airwaves)

Sprint here... And it also happened on Galaxy S4... Yep very annoying...

any of using different apps to control your audio volumes? I am using Audiomanager Pro. If I have something on scedule to change, i need to manually change it to the tone i want..

I did have Audio Manager Pro. I don't have it on my G3, forgot to download it again and realized that I didn't miss it. Although it's a great app.

It's a stock ringtone. I don't think its on my SD card.

I thought you said it was a ringtone from Zedge. You need to verify where Zedge is putting your ringtones that you download from them. Then if its on the sd card you need to move it from that to the ringtone folder on the internal phone memory.

Same thing with things like wallpapers. If the system does not immediately have access to the location (SD card) it will just default to its default. Putting things like ringtones and wallpapers on the internal memory will ensure that it is available when the phone is booting up.

EDIT: SORRY You are not the OP. In your case the ringtone may be corrupted, or try selecting another one for a bit and change back.

So weird I changed the default ringtone to Ukulele and its back to VZW Airwaves. I think VZW is stalking me..
