Help LG GT540f Android Version Update Crash

I tried to update my LG GT540f from version 1.6 to 2.1 from the LG website and it crashed. Now all I have is the LG logo on my screen and my pc won't recognise it's connected. What can I do to get it working again?

Did you try flashing the 2.1 rom manually??
