LG L9 price99

Does it work with T-Mobile or any carrier will do? If you have to use T-Mobile do you have to get a plan or will prepaid work with it?

Thnx.

Never mind, it is new T-Mobile customers with a 2 yr plan.

Sorry yes t mobile but after 60 days they will give you the network unlock code. I would think everyone will start dropping their prices what's your carrier

The LG l9 is a pretty seventh phone I paid 200 for mine and would do it again . Tthe only down side for me I was rooting unlockbootloader , recovery and Rome. It was a pain in the butt to get to the point of installing a rom but I like a challenge especially if I know nothing about it . My 16 year old keeps trying to get me to trade me she has an I 4s. Soho guess that says something about the phone.because you know has kids are

Metropcs just dropped the price to 99 as well granted you have to wait for a 50 dollar rebate to come in the mail. I bought mine for the 149 plus 30 dollar rebate so I could have saved twenty dollars if I waited two weeks. I'm not jelly though, I got an additional rebate for switching my virgin mobile number. All in all the l9 rocks my world. Keep in mind I came from a history of owning a Samsung intercept then an Optimus elite, so this midrange phone is a huge leap in technology and I ended up paying less than I did for each of my previous phones which were toward the bottom range of the current technology at the time. I can only imagine how great my next midrange feature phone will be two years from now and the price I'll pay :D until then, whether you buy from best buy for T-Mobile service or buy from metropcs, you can't go wrong for 99 or even 150 and then waiting for the rebate. Unless of course you demand a slew of internal space for large games or you get bad 4G hspa+ in your area. The metropcs l9 runs on tmobiles network. Best speed I got was 12mbps down with 1.4 up. I live in south jersey across the river from philly. I usually get about 5 to 7 down and 1mbps up which is still plenty for me and massively impressive to the crappy 3g reception I had through VM that uses sprints network.

Ouch. That's a bummer. Maybe soon, T-Mobile plans on expanding and upgrading new towers.
What I'm not understanding is on T-Mobile's website, it show my area is excellent or very good. But on MetroPCS website is outside of their area.

It's the 63101 zipcode area.

Yeah that's strange. The L9 is one of the first 'switch-over' phones after T-Mobile acquired metro. In my system info settings in All-In-One Toolbox even shows T-Mobile as the network. If you're interested in the l9 through metro I'd recommend going to the local metro store and trying it out. You have a week to refund if you don't get the service you need. This was enough for me to try it at our apartment, work and all the regular places I frequent.

This might be biased fanboy talk but 60 dollars unlimited everything is worth it. Although if you're not a big talker you may save money through T-Mobile's 100 min unlimited data plan. Oh also this might be fine if you have wifi at home as the l9 has phone through wifi capabilities, so 100 minutes could be plenty if you use them when away from wifi.
