Help LG mobile phone software update tool hangs

I can't upgrade my LG Optima 2x to gingerbread, because I can't install the lg mobile phone software update tool.

It start installing then it just hangs and doesn't finish. I am using Win 7.

I have already intstalled the latest drivers.

Please help.

I have same problem and i m trying to figure out this problem to solve but no luck looks like the phone dead, i m stuck with S/W Upgrade every time i rest the mobile.

You can still flashback to the original ROM or stock ROM using smartflash, but I am currently exploring ways on how to use the LG update tool without hangs.
