Help Lg motion by metro pcs stuck in ev mode

need help.my metro lg motion somehow got set to EV mode and i don't know how to get it back to 4 G mode. Does anyone know how to do this? Thanx

I've played with that a little bit and turned off my 4G, and then turned it back on. Maybe you can get your 4G working again with that method.

What led up to the loss of 4G? What were you doing?
 
EV is short for Evdo which is 3G, same LTE is short for Volte/Lite which is 4G. if you know you have a decent 4G signal wherever you might be, just trigger airplane mode or disable data for a few seconds. once it connects from being disabled then you should be connected to the strongest signal in your area

Its just a variation of 3G
If you don't switch to EV manually it won't save much battery life since the 4G radios still active but if you manually set it to CDMA/EV using the guide above you itll set you to 3G so if you don't mind the lower speeds and want to conserve battery life you can do that.
 
I m using this phone flashed to my carrier, but i never got to see the EV icon on this phone, as soon as i set the phone to EVDO only mode, thr are no signals at all. I'm unable to understand the issue.

I am totally confused. I am away from home now and have been trying to access webpages. I noticed the icon at the top of the screen changes back and forth 4g to ev. Sometimes it ch
anges to 1x. What is going on? What does all this mean???

It means your in weak coverage area for those networks so your data network type keeps changing.
