Root lg motion root lounge and discussion

when i get my phone back, i'm gonna start working on flashable ports with no base that can be flashed over any cm10 base. that way we won't have to deal with ports built on substandard base because of permission to cook a rom. my ports won't need permission since they won't actually contain a rom. they will just be the changed and added files needed to make the port in a flashable zip or aroma installer allowing us to simply flash them over new releases when they come out with out having to rebuild the port everytime or ask permission. this of course is just in the theory stage right now, but i'm confident it can be done. there may be some changes that need to be made when new releases come out but it won't be as detailed as rebuilding the whole port and still won't need permission.
 
maybe someone should go through and bump all the relevant threads to the top ie: roms and ports. there seems to be alot of noob threads lately. maybe a mod could do this without causing a stir.

ah nevermind it would just end up this way again anyway.
maybe a sticky lounge and or general discussion would help. because i can think of a few threads that should have just been post in their corresponding threads or in sticky threads such as "what can be flashed"

whats been goin on with ya? i think nemesis is gonna be their own custom version, instead of android clones.

Not much...messin around with my N4 as usual

From the sounds of it I think it may be a ROM for the Galaxy Cameras or some sort of CM camera app

Though I would like to see a CM stock phone...
 
Something to point out: I flashed candoopa's TWRP with another SD as anyone should've, but then still started to use 2nd init. I flashed this on stock F, but then restored my cm10 to try to get rid of it, but it didn't. I also added my old SDCARD, and wallah it wasn't there anymore. HOWEVER, i was bored and decided to flash CM10.1 by jonny. Of course calling, etc didn't work and when i tried to boot into recovery, it wasn't 2nd init, but it was twrp. This old sdcard had no partition for TWRP or anything. Why did this happen?? When i booted into TWRP my files were untouched.
 
candoopas twrp contains a kernel that redirects data to sd-ext. when you flash a new rom like bobz it flashes f kernel that overwrites so twrp recovery is still there but /data is back on internal memory. then booting into twrp recovery should wipe data but wouldn't touch external sd. cm10.1 should also boot into 2nd init, don't know why it didn't.
 
This is completely non phone related but as some of you have read I like ti rhyme from time to time. Since I spend more time on the motion community than I do Facebook I though I'd share my latest composition with y'all. I hope it's not a problem..

After 1.5 years with sprint and having an Iphone, i am so happy to be back to Metro and android. Sprint was THE WORST service provider i have ever had. And the only time I liked the Iphone was when it was jailbroken. Using the LG Motion 4G for now, rooted and running CM10-20130517 with Crystal 2 theme. Spent the last 24 hours catching up on everything i've missed. I havent been able to receive MMS's but im investigating that. Any good apps or tips/suggestions?

It looks like you have pgs cm10 you can also use Bobz cm10.
 
Tried all the mods the past two weeks. Am now back on ver. D rooted and debloated. So much nicer. Everything working and great battery life. Sorry to all the devs but not one had it right. Maybe someday, until then I will stay with stock.
 
I see better battery life with Johnnys liquid smooth. I end the day(7am-10;30) with 40% left. I have an extended battery though. .

How big is the extended battery? Also apps like greenify, juicedefender, and snapdragon battery guru have helped me get outstanding battery (bobz cm 10) throughout the day. (6:00- 9:30) with 75% left

No extended battery :)
 
Thanks to so many people that helped me out I finally fixed everything...I have bobz 5-21 with johnny1111 liquid smooth port...I have all the fixes (GPS a little off but eh) lol Finally got excellent battery life thanks to the greenify app...I like green so I switched it up with the time and the 4g on the status bar...pretty satisfied again thanks everyone :)

Out here giving this world all I've got, and like Eminem said I only get one shot, but it seems respect, honor, and integrity are something most folks have forgot, like a receipt when returning something you've bought, my faults I own em but all these negativities I can't, I won't, and refuse to condone em, so I'm left to play defense like Bruce Bowen, in his prime, it's not that I am perfect it's just that I'm, fricken sick of people robbing each other blind, so I bind my hands together kneel and pray, ask the Lord for strength to get through each day, and beg for my children not to turn out the same, hope they don't turn out to be a crying shame, life is strategic but it isn't a game, and whoever told you that must of not felt the pain, I try to stay on the straight and narrow while everyone is switching lanes, we'll all get to where we're going but the outcome won't be the same. I don't need the fortune or the fame, I just need an umbrella to get through the rain, and could give two sh!ts bout keeping up with what's their name, so I look in the mirror like MJ or Lil Wayne, cause I know it starts with me if I expect anything to change.
