Root LG Nexus 5 Bootloader Help!!!

I have an LG Nexus 5 I recently purchased used, the price was too good to pass up Lol, 10$.
the person I got it from couldn't get it to boot, it would just display the samsung logo, then power off, then do that in a loop, I smacked the power button on the edge of my desk and that solved that issue, but then I ended up in the boot loop with the coloured circles, I boot into the boot loader, and try unlocking the boot loader, when I unlock it, the phone does it's mandatory reboot, but when I go into the boot loader again, the boot loader is locked, I cannot seem to get the boot loader to stay unlocked, I can't get into the O/S to activate debug mode, I can't flash a new O/S to the phone, I even tried flashing a new recovery to the phone, and that did nothing, does anyone have any tricks to force the boot loader to stay unlocked? Any Help would be greatly appreciated.

Lol yeah sorry, had just finished reading something about a Samsung phone so Samsung was fresh in my mind lol.

Unfortunately, we've seen bootloader (un)locking issues on both the N5 and the N7...

I'm guessing there's probably a hardware issue (water/moisture?) that's keeping the bootloader from being fully unlocked (hence the discounted price ).

I was afraid it may have been hardware, ah well, it's not a total loss, I may be able to ebay the phone for parts & repair, after all it only cost me 10 bucks lol.
