Help LG Optimus Elite VM696 updates

I was wondering if anyone knows if there's a update for lg optimus elite. right now i have android 2.3.7. and i tried downloading the lg tool to look for a update doesn't work. was reading somewhere if you got the phone for someone else different msid number something like that i have no idea.

A Gingerbread phone isn't likely to get an update to anything close to 4.3 or 4.4.
