Help Lg Optimus F7 on Boost Roaming

I have had my phone for about a week but today i drove back down to college and the drive down there has a lot of roaming areas. On campus though, i should have no problems. I had Sprint before and looking at the settings in my phone, i am connected to Boost's signal and am not roaming. However, i can not send text messages and when i try to make a phone call it says that i am roaming. I dont know how to reset it. Since i am a new user it will not let me post images but i go Settings>About Phone>Network and i see

Network: Boost Mobile
Signal Strength: -87 dBm
Mobile Network type:EvDo-rev.A
Service State: In Service
Roaming: Not Roaming
Mobile network state: Connected
IP adress: Unavailable

in your dialer type ##72786# your phone will report and reactivate automatically. if that doesnt help call boost.

it did the activation and prl update and everything but it still doesnt work even though my phone says that it is on Boost network and not roaming :/ i guess ill have to find a phone to use to call Boost
