LG Optimus L70

Yeah me to, i was forced to buy a case to, and i was supposed to upgradte to a 50+ plan, but she let it slide

For rebate you needed 50 and up plan
 
I know it's not waterproof lol and i wonder why she didnt tell me to get the rebate i would have to update my plan you think theyd wanna make more money in the long run either way i wont complain too much for 50bucks its a nice phone ...thanks guys

It all that smoke and mirrors that all around most metros.. Been inhaling it too long,wish more authys were like hulks he seem to screen his employees

Lol they could get 99 for it. It would be the 3rd best phone they have behind the s5 and s4. Maybe 4the best depending on how you feel about the mega. But sell it for 99 and add a 50 buck mir if you want to drop it to 50. It would easily be the mid tier phone they keep trying to have. The l70 is ok but the g would sell like crazy on metro. For some odd reason though tmobile and moto never really played nice together. Odd considering google and t mobile always had a partnership. I believe the only nexus phone t mobile never sold was the galaxy nexus.
 
I just got mine like 3 days ago and so far it is a great phone.. I cannot complain for the pricing but I have been trying to find a root for this phone and I cannot find anything.. Is it the OS 4.4 KitKat or just this phone in particular?
 
What about it exactly if you don't mind explaining? Want to see if there is a work around or not..I have always loved rooting my phones just for simple apps like titanium back up and xposed installer to get modules and it sucks that this phone is actually good for the price and there is no root.. At least for now

LG made it very hard to root? All patches had been patched so far and kitkat is quite secure so far.
 
Plus i dont think theres to many people working on the phone. Even if you got root you couldnt do much with it.
 
root will be a good bit away as far as i can tell. when 4.4.3 drops their may be a new exploit, but i wouldnt count on it.
 
That sucks lol. I might have to get a different phone I have got so used to rooted phones that I have become impatient lol. Good phone anyways :)
 
So i was diggin around a found on xda a root for the l70 idk if im allowed to post a link is that okay?? I got it today nd havnt rooted yet but the root has been confirmed on the l70 post back if its okay and ill post the link :)

sadly, the xda link will not work for the metro/tmobile version of the l70, it is already plastered all over all the forums for this phone over several well known sites. i am in the trying process of having a metro corporate store unlock my bootloader on my l70. they have done it before for me on other phones, just having trouble getting them to do it again.

same as having at&t unlock an at&t iphone like if you were going to military svc overseas to flash to another carrier. only corporate stores can do it w metro, sometimes mobile sometimes an unlock code depending on the phone/software/hardware. you could call 611 and see if they can link you w or give you a number for a local corporate store although most are walk in only. they don't like doing it, not for warranty reasons like people say cuz if you break it, you gotta buy another, so they would make out, but it's possible. i always say i am a developer creating apps and have to manually flash zip files via recovery to test them to work out bugs. the hunt continues! i haven't messed w the lg tool, but maybe there's a way to convert the root batch file to match a lg update file? not sure of the structures, just one thing i haven't messed w.
 
you just compared getting sim unlocked to a bootloader unlock, thats like getting a new key for your car vs hacking the ECM (onboard computer). metropcs will not help you in any way regarding unlocking a bootloader. there is no unlocked lg bootloader because they lock all their phones, regardless of carrier.

You seem to be discussing 2 different topics. Unlocking a bootloader and unlocking a SIM card.
