Hello everyone,
I'm contemplating switching over to Metro PCS and signing up for the $50/month plan. The one phone that seems to stand out in their entire lineup is the LG Optimus M. However, a potential deal-breaker is what I've read so far in a couple of threads concerning lack of flash support for ARMv6 processors such as the one that are packaged in the Optimus M.
So my question is, what exactly is the situation on flash support for the Optimus M? I've also heard of people who were able to load up flash videos and images using Skyfire browser and Dolphin browser. Can any Optimus M owners shed some light on this issue? Are there any updates or workarounds?
My friend has told me that not having flash functionality basically means your phone feels like it can only access 30% of the web.
I can't contemplate spending good money for a phone and plan if that's the case! I apologize in advance for asking this question as the other threads that discuss this issue contain mixed responses and I'd like to have a full understanding of what exactly is going on. My friend tells me that Youtube's mobile site doesn't require flash functionality, hence his accursed Blackberry's Storm's ability to run videos on that site despite lack of flash support.
P.S. Can any Metro PCS smartphone owners in the SF/Norcal area tell me about their internet webpage load speeds? I hear Metro PCS uses 2.5G and that it's not the fastest around.
