Help lg optimus v factory reset question

i have a problem with text messaging and customer support isnt really doing anything to fix it, should i factory reset? i kind of want to. are there dangers to this? losing service/phone number?

It won't do anything other than wipe your phone. And it almost certainly won't fix the SMS issue you have.

ok thanks, im just desperate. i rely on sms for businesss and its been like this for almost 12 hours. in a recent thread about the login page... someone else also cant text! glad its not just me

try dial ##847446# and activate the phone again.... this helped for some ppl

I had a similar problem earlier.

Today I called this number 1-866-553-9810 at 4pm CST and it worked. They had me remove my battery and so far so good.
