Help LG Optimus V requires back cover?

Hi. So, recently, I found my old LG Optimus V. I tried to turn it on, but to no avail. When I tried to turn it on, it showed an animation of a back cover being put on. I lost my back cover Any solutions besides buying a new back cover? Thanks.

Don't know if required but I got a used back cover on eBay cheap. Showing that animation implies it is needed.

Are you trying to power on without battery by using charger? I've never seen an animation for back cover but you will if no battery is installed

That's gotta be it, mine runs fine with no back cover.
