Root LG Optimus V stock ROM memory limit

Hello,I have a rooted LG Optimus V and have moved several apps to the ROM. My question is what is the safety margin needed for the system to operate properly? 5MB? 10MB? I currently have 18 MB left on the ROM and have been told not to go below 10MB. Phone runs smooooth as butter. Thanks.

Yes, 10mb is generally considered the safe limit.
