Lg p500 compared to iphone 3g

Yeah, the iPhone 3G is a lot faster compared to the LG Optimus one. It probably plays 3D games better, has better quality sound as well. I had the LG Optimus one and the iPhone 3G. iPhone was better for sure.

Can someone explain the difference between lg p500 and iphone 3g

Are you sure you are comparing the right mobiles, to me they don't even belong to same category....

for instance, check out the difference between their prices, i guess you can buy a new smartphone with the difference in amount itself...

here's what i can think of at the moment...

iPhone 3G - slightly bigger screen, built-in battery, lower battery capacity, no portable WiFi hotspot tethering, built-in memory (8 or 16Gb), slower internet browsing & better build quality.

LG P500 - lower screen resolution, 1500mAH high-capacity battery :), portable WiFi hotspot tethering, physical buttons for Menu, Home, Back & Search, 32Gb MSD memory card support, 512Mb RAM, micro USB port, 3MP camera (but w/o LED flash), less bulky than the iPhone3, free Docking Station included.

i love the P500 (Android 2.2.2, firmware version V10f) because i don't need a mobile broadband dongle outdoors when i'm surfing the the net on my laptop. the 1500mAH battery & the free Docking Station ($68 value) is another huge plus.
so far, i haven't had any problems with the P500 so it's a reliable phone.
i'd prefer the P500 over the iPhone 3 although the iPhone is also pretty good.

In Pure specs the Lg Optimus beats it in a mile. Only thing the iPhone beats is that it has a bigger screen and has a better screen? The specs say that it also has a 480 x 320 resolution screen which is the same with the Optimus, but the iPhone does have a Retina one.

Can I scroll pdf(if it is big) or other document file smoothly in O-1?
Thanks.
Don't you think your question is a bit out of context here? You could have created a seperate thread for this.
As for you question, yes you can scroll a pdf smoothly. I have read a few novels on O1.

Iphone have a bigger screen which gives you a clearer look when you use it. In games or internet. And it rarely lag, also that it have bigger spaces for things to be stored . While lg p500 , will lag when you wan it to go at a faster speed . And will hang there for like few minutes. And it has a smaller screen which sometimes we cannot see things clearly and have to zoom in which is not really clear. And also the storage is quite small . And you only can download limited apps and it will tell you the storage is too full . and call you to delete some or you cannot do somethings , example like sms.

app2sd always solves storage problems ;)

I had an Iphone 3 until it got stolen, then switched over to android and an LGP500. I love the LG against the Iphone especially when the price point is taken into account.
But the 1 thing that bugs me, like many others on here, is the internal memory issue on the LG.
So, I have an 8GB card with just under 7GB free, I have used an android optimiser app which did stuff all, all downloaded apps are on sd card and cant see any others to move there, used a cache cleaner program, deleted all photos taken and sms's, starting to delete apps that I have downloaded and still getting a memory low warning and rejecting incoming messages due to low memory.
Not a tech head, but not dumb either, but worried about trying to root my android and once I do, then what??
But, I do love the LG phone though!:D

Now with iPhone 4S out there is really no point getting a iPhone 3.
but if u still want one..
O1 >> iPhone 3

Once u root (use Gingerbreak, one click AND NOTHING ELSE NEEDED TO ROOT), u can delete ur bundled crapware (it frees quite the memory), also then u can use Link2SD which creates a virtual internal mem on ur SD card and u can shift EVERYTHING onto ur mem card.
Just remember though if u do that, whenevr u'll start ur phone it'll take quite sometime to load everything from the card.
&
btw you can always UNROOT
