LG Revolution service manual

So I was browsing the LG Revolution forums at XDA and found a link to the LG Revolution service manual. Obviously this is a little different from the Esteem but I thought it might be worth checking it out none the less.

LG Revolution VS910 Service Manual - xda-developers

Hi Nuked, why waste your time with the LG Rev Service Manual when you can just get the LG Esteem Manual? Below I posted the link.

LG - Official Website (click on "Resources" on the top menu bar) to Download LG Esteem Manual + Other helpful stuff:
LG MS910 Cell Phones & Mobile Phones - LG Electronics US

- Hope this helps! ;)

Yes I have checked out that page which does have the Esteem User manual, brochure and a data sheet.

I just saw a link to a more technical manual, although it was for the Revo, and thought someone might like to take a look at the inside of a similar phone to ours. After posting this link i realized it was probably not very useful, including myself :D

Yes! nuked It is interesting and useful. You are correct about manual.
I guess the word SERVICE was over looked by latinheat.
It was not a waist of time.

Thanks again.

Nice find...but even after looking at those blown up diagrams of the assembly, I still can't figure out why they needed to make the phone so thick.

I never knew how large an LTE processor was till after seeing this...looks like it's bigger than the phone's CPU, which I guess would help explain why the battery drains so much when you're downloading at LTE speeds on these 4G phones. I wonder how difficult it would to pry off the 16gb eMMC memory off a busted Revolution and stick it on the Esteem's assembly too.

If you were to pry it off it would be destroyed. You would need specialized soldering equipment so that you could desolder the chip, and then you would need experience soldering SMC components to install it. And after all that there is no guarantee that the phone would even recognize it. You would be better off just buying a 16gb microSD card.

i wouldnd recommend this to no one. (IMO)

I already have an external SD card connected but it's pretty useless to me for this phone since I can't install apps on it and can really only use it for pictures and videos.

(I was only half serious about prying off the internal card from a Revolution and soldering it onto this one btw).

I wonder if a Rom or kernel can make it possible for the phone to combine the internal and external memory.

One of many reasons why I rooted my phone. Titanium backup app gives the user ability to move apps to the external sd card that couldnt be moved before.

Also the ability to remove metropcs locked apps, be carefull there is a list of apps that can be deleted and dont have associated systems files attached to them, for example MetroPCS Easy WiFi that controls the WiFi radio, there is a list of apps that can be removed and does not brick your phone.
