Help LG Thrill on AT&T estimated arrival?

I hear ya on the size of that thing. I didn't even see one in person yet, but Inspire gives me haste. I have small hands. I know there's no way I could do the Infuse.

But..gosh that Samsung screen is AMAZING. I'm getting very impatient waiting for an Attain/Function/Within release date.
 
The phone might come out July 17th. On the leaked list of phones, the Pantech was before the Thrill, and the Status was after, and so far the phones have been released chronologically from top to bottom. Plus an LG Thrill US add leaked and is on YouTube, so it's possible it'll come out on the 17th.
 
It also may be July 18th, as that was the day that the Captivate came out last year. Perhaps they like to shoot for the same dates every year.
 
How do the LG phone screen/displays rank?? I've never actually seen an LG phone (aside from a dummy display with a fake screen)

I'm a Samsung owner, so I'm used to SAMOLED. Hard to change to anything lesser.

It's not gonna look nothing like a super AMOLED screen. In fact from one of the reviews that I read(phonedog) the ego 3g has a better display then the thrill. I wouldn't want a super amoled display with 3D on a small 1500 ohms battery. Thats just asking for a dead battery asap

I'm pretty sure samoled's get better battery life than normal screens. But they are more expensive and in short supply. That's why the TVs versions r so expensive and use very little electricity. I think if remember right the reasons the blacks are so good is because they only light up the pixels being used.

If you read the auction text it says it's the UK Optimus 3D, and has bold red text everywhere that July 27 is not a firm date.
 
If AT&T were releasing the phone this Sunday we would have heard about it by now. The current plan seems to be a release party on the 25th, with release on the 31st. If it's anything like normal AT&T releases, even though the actual release day is the 31st, stores will have them in stock on the Friday before (29th) and may start selling them early if you're lucky.

i called an at&t store yesterday and he said they are waiting on their shipment.
