Help LG Update tool Problems upgrading to Android 2.2

SORRY TITLE MISTAKE! I MEANT ANDROID 2.1
Hey guys! Nice to meet you.
Im using the LG Update tool right now and i plug in my phone and i want to Upgrade.
The Upgrade button is not working and it says its already on the current version but its not. Im trying to upgrade to Android 2.1 from 1.6 .
The update became available today in the UK and i really need help upgrading.

(P.S i forgot to add this its an LG GT540. I mean of course, its in this forum.)
 
2.2 isn't available yet (if ever!). 2.1 has been released by CPW and most networks in UK. Where did you purchase yours from?

The reason I asked this (and ExHuMeD) is that it is not released officially in the UK for all sources.

The update is available for phones Vodaphone branded phones and phones purchased from CPW.

I don't think it is available for O2 customers yet, and I don't know about T-Mobile, Orange & 3.

If LG Suite says there is no update available...it is probably correct.

You can of course go the unofficial route (numerous sources, most detailed info is probably on the Modaco forums).

Or wait for the official release for your network - it probably won't be long now.

I think its out for orange, but its defo not out for o2 yet as im on o2 and its taking forever to update surly the rom cant be that mutch diffrent than orange or CWH?
