Help LG Updater crashing

Hey guys.

I have an LG Optimus (for my sins) and recently tried to update it using the PC software package that came with the phone when I got it.

It says update available and downloads it to the PC, then when it goes on to the install part, it gets as far as 4% and stops. I think what's happening is that once the update starts, the phone goes to a Blue Screen Emergency Mode, and once that happens, Windows loses the connection with the device, so the install stops, after a while the phone resets itself, Windows recognises it again, the update tries to restart but the above just repeats its self.

Anyone got any suggestions on what I can do?

I had the same problem with my wifes lg shine plus. Lg told me to go to settings/sdcard and phone storage and uncheck the mass storage only box and then it worked fine. I don't know if the same applies to your phone or not.

yeah..the LG updater just sucks, try using the KDZ updater and flash the 2.1 ROM
