Root Lg-vm701??

The phone I selected in order to get to this forum showed a different model number than the one I have. I have the LG-VM701. Will the roms and kernels and such in this forum work with my phone?. I just want to make sure before I go and brick my phone. Thanks in advance.

LGVM701 is the Optimus Slider on Virgin Mobile. So yes you have the right forum for your phone. These Roms will work. But keep in mind that there are only 2 roms I know of. Mobster Rom, and Gelato. And an ICS theme. Flash one of the roms after you have rooted and installed cwm. Then flash a theme. And there is one kernel to flash that improves performance and adds a great cpu governor called SmartassV2, you will wanna switch to it. Overclock is not available it made this phone very unstable unfortunately. Good luck!

I actually have 3 of these sliders, and the matching $25 GF plans! Yes, they are limited; but about the least expensive data plan I've found. I use Gelato; haven't tried Mobster Rom.
