Help LG Weather Widget

Are you guys ZVB-ZVC-ZVD:confused:
Will compare if their are differences in the stock pulls so might not matter-let me take a look.

Trying to install it I get "Installation Failed. Trying to copy it I get "java.io.filenotfoundexception: /system/app/weatherwidget. apk (read-only file system)

Downloaded to phone correct? I downloaded to mine...deleted my weather widget..and it went right to install.

Sent from my LG-MS910 using Tapatalk 2 Beta-4

Ok I think I'm confused on what to do. It will not install I tried that. I did get it moved to the system/app directory I had to change the folder permissions to w/r then I put it back to read only. I rebooted the phone and it still doesn't show up. But the file is in the system/apps folder.

Hmm..ok let's go this route then(many other options also):D
Same concept-just delete the one that I supplied first and proceed with the OP.

try changing ur permisions to
USER:READ/WRITE
GROUP:READ
OTHERS:READ
THEN REBOOT ;) C IF THAT WORKS

I got it to work. I used Root Explorer and changed the permissions to R/O and dropped the WeatherWidget.apk into the directory then it showed up in Widgets for Home, BUT if you want the clock to show up with it you need to also move the DigitalClockWidget.apk to the same directory. I removed the weather widget off the Home screen then put it back and the clocked showed up with it.

I didn't need to install or reboot. Just put them into the directory and they showed up as Widgets.

My Friend said "just install a launcher!" I said I really don't like any of them and it loads the phone down. I really only like the digital clock and weather part of any Launcher so I'd rather run the LG one without all the memory usage of a Launcher. So it now works perfect for me.

Thanks for everyone's help.

Rick
