Help LG540 side trim

Has anyone had a problem with the side trim (by the usb charge input) coming loose?
Mine has and it is only 12 weeks old.
I took it back to CPW and they say it is not covered under warranty.
If there are others similiar then I can say that there is an inherent defect and get it swapped.

Yes my phone was only five days old Tesco gave me the choice of refund or replacement phone I chose replacement.
