Root Liberty 1.5 is here - get in here

My apps didn't show up in my market after wiping data/cache then installing 1.5. I did everything as I do normally but this time was different. I went and restored them fine with TiBu and tried to repair the market links since I have the paid version but it was a no go.

How do I back my apps up through Titanium?

Download TiBu. I would recommend the paid app but try it out first to see how you like it. The paid version you press restore apps once and all of the ones you selected restore. The free version you have to accept each installation request for every app you restore (major pita). Well worth buying it.

Anyway. to actually backup.
Open the app
Hit the button at the top center called manage backup/restore
Hit the menu hard key
Click "batch"
Select the one that applies to you. I usually just backup all user apps. That makes restoring your apps across different roms easy. You don't want to accidentally restore system apps from one rom onto another rom that will be painful. I have recently stopped backing up system apps all-together.

Restoring is the same way but after you click "batch" scroll down further for the restore options.

Next question what should I choose in Clockwork to wipe data and cache. In the past I remember going to "mounts and storage" but I just noticed the "wipe data/format" and "wipe cache partition" options. Should I use those instead?

That's what we're here for, to spank you when you need it, praise you when you deserve it, o/w just screw around. :D

Does anyone know how to uninstall the original Launcher provided so I can use Launcher Pro or Go Launcher EX as my default?

Is it still your home launcher?

Mine can be uninstalled, but I use LPP.

Another way to uninstall apps is thru Titanium Backup. Find it, tap it, choose uninstall.

I wouldn't delete the stock launcher. I would just clear the defaults set for the stock launcher by settings/applications/manage apps/all/market clear defaults near the bottom. Then next time you press home with LPP installed it will have a pop up that asks you which launcher you want you can set lpp as you default here. I say not to install it because what if something goes corrupt with your current launcher then you won't have anything.

I have Go Launcher installed as well. I uninstalled the Launcher already, and this is the exact set up that I had on 1.0.

It wasn't set as default and for some reason it wouldn't let me uninstall it via Settings so I had to go into Liberty Toolbox and went into the Apps menu and uninstalled via there.

I posted about this last night, but no one replied. Was wondering if someone else can try this.

Is anyone having notification problems in the drop down bar? I'm having one with voice mail which sucks. You know how when you get a vm you get the indicator in the upper left hand side? Then if you pull the bar down it tells you how many vms you have etc?

Well in the past I could hit clear and it would clear everything but keep vms notifications in tact until I actually listened to them. Now it clears them out.

Can anyone else try this and let me know if its happening to them?

Also have wallpaper problem that was posted above.

Yes, the dialer needs some changing. Would be sweet to have haptic feedback as well. I wonder if we can get an option in the toolbox to get the blur dialer in the future?

Is there some way that we can get this problem posted to kejar31? I emailed jrummy but never heard back. Was wondering if a hotfix could be released or a permanent fix incorporated into the next version of Liberty.

Thank you.

I have ADW EX and I want to remove plain ADW that Liberty installed, I cant through managing apps from market, or through Liberty tool box. How can I get it off my phone?

Liberty did not come with ADW as the launcher. To remove the stock launcher there is an option in the Toolbox.

Open Toolbox
App Management
Remove Apps
Select launcher by checking the box.
Done!

Question on pattern lock (which I just decided to enable). Can you set a time limit for this to occur? I did not see one. Its kind of annoying to have it lock every time the screen goes black.

TIA.
