Root Liberty and Gmail issue?

I've been running Liberty for about a month or so and wanted to know if anyone else is having an issue getting Gmail notifications? I wiped my phone last night to install 1.5 and played with Gmail and had no issues. Then loaded 1.5 and the notifications stopped. Anyone with any thoughts on this?

Do you have gmail syncing? In "Accounts & Sync" settings?

Yes. It's one of the first things I checked. But still, no notification and the only way I'll get my Gmail to show in the in box it to manually refresh. This only happened after I installed Liberty (both 1.5 and previous).
