Help lightflow app

i install the lightflow app on my sony ericsson xperia to control the LED for various events and it seems to work for the most part (i.e. bluetooth with blue light..etc)

now i am using the HTC xe, this app does not seem to work and it only gives me the generic green light for all events. i did some research and it say HTC phones have restrictions with LED.

anyone using lightflow with similar issues? anyone knows of another LED app that works with HTC xe??
 
From what I am aware you need to be rooted in order to change the LED colours on HTC phones... a tempROOT app may work, if they still exist.

i thought so. did you root your phone? i read the thread about rooting and it did not seem as straight forward as i had hoped for.

did you or anyone find the root process simple and easy???
 
No I haven't rooted. mainly due to laziness but the only reasons I can think of for rooting is having the ability to change the LED colours and being able to get rid of ads in free apps that include ads on rooted devices... both of which are not that important when i weigh it against all the problems that can arise from rooting, this is just my personal opinion.
 
Try an app called LED me know. I was able to change the colours on my old desire with out rooting, I haven't tried it on my xe so not sure if it works with sensation.

can't seem to find the app 'LED' anywhere. can you verify the name of this app.
