Limit connection to one SSID

Hi there !

I am using the ACER A500 tablet with Android 3.0. I want to use it inside my company only. So I was wondering if there is any way to limit the network to only one WIFI ssid ?
I want to initially set up the wifi connection to this SSID only and then no possibility to connect to other network....

is it possible to do that out of the box ? I can't even find a way to connect to wifi by SSID and deactivate the auto-connection.

thanks for any help !

no idea ?

let me put it another way : is it possible to manually connect android device to a specific SSID rather than letting the device scan the existing wifi network and select one ?

The way I understand how it works is this:

Android will scan for all wifi SSIDs and present you with a list (under the wifi settings). It won't auto-connect to any of them unless you actually select one.

Once you select one, and you enter in the proper credentials (if applicable), that device will then auto-connect to that wifi SSID whenever it is in range.

If your device is already auto-connecting to a given SSID, you have to tell the device to "forget" that network. All you have to do is select it from the list of all available SSIDs and it will give you the option to forget it.

You basically just find the SSID (which is just the name of the network), connect to it and enter your password (if there is one, which I assume) after that you're all set. It won't "just" connect to a different network without you telling it to.
