Have you tried taking the 3g setting off and just having it as 2g. I read on the XDA forum that one of the problems with HTC phones is that they are not very good at seamless switching from 2g to 3g and often can't find 2g after having 3g (and so where 3g is weak, 2g doesn't kick in instead and so you get left with a weak signal). I've switched mine and it's good now (wireless and networks, mobile networks, network mode - set to gsm only instead of gsm/wcdma auto) Let me know if it works for you - did for me. Data will be slower on this, so just switch back when you want to use the internet services.

Hi
GSM only is an option on my unbranded UKphone. By putting it to this setting, I definitely sort out my signal problems. I do switch to WCDMA when I want the data connection tho.
