Help link2sd needs the phone to be rooted?

Hi,

Today i installed link2sd on my phone. But when i try to move any apps like quick office to the SD card, it shows me the error message
"Link2SD could not gain root access.
If you have root access make sure you respond 'allow' to
Superuser prompt".
Any ideas about this?
I also enabled the USB Debugging mode.

Yes, you need to be rooted for Link2SD to function. If you don't want to root your phone, App2SD works without root but isn't as efficient.

Edit:: I found this in another forum. It's written for the Optimus V, but the vast majority of the info applies here. Hope this helps.

Hmm.. so it seems like i have to root my phone for this to work. But i'm not willing to root it for 3 more months since it is still under warranty period

Fair enough. App2SD will get you through till then, but Link2sd is a better choice once your in a position to root.
