Root Link2SD

Madshady

Newbie
Does Link2SD work on the LG Volt? If so do I set the 2nd partition as ext4. Just like I did when I was using the F3.

Seems ext4 is the one that works. I am having problems, something isn't right, I still cannot move any apps to SD. The very few apps I CAN move to SD are still being moved to the 'emulated internal SD'. And this has to be done in 'settings/apps'.

No apps can be moved to the real external 32gb SDcard. I have root, Link2sd mounted 4ext partition, as far as I am aware but, that is why I have posted images, thankyou.

You need to assign read/write permissions for your ext SD. Apps2sd and links2sd will work. I've been using Apps2sd on my Volt for awhile now with no problems.

Okay I will search for 'how to assign r/rw permissions for ext SD'.

Assuming everything looks correct, thankyou.

***EDIT***
- I have factory reset and their definately is something wrong. I am only able to download and install one app before it gives me the 'out of space' error.

TOTAL INTERNAL STORAGE: 3.93GB
AVAILABLE: 3.80GB
APPS: 405MB
PICS/VIDS: 24KB
AUDIO: 136KB
DOWNLOADS: 4.73MB

When you factory reset which method did you use? I highly recommend formatting cache and dalvik cache before and after a factory reset, so you start fresh. As for the sd permission issue, had the insufficient space error on my phone and i went ahead and flashed the Zv4 ROM once again. I cleared dalvik, system and dalvik partitions BEFORE I flashed the ROM, radio and supersu files and then cleared the cache & dalvik after. Once my phone rebooted and i started setting things back up, i installed Xposed framework and this module: http://forum.xda-developers.com/xposed/modules/kitkat-sd-card-access-t2790992 It can be found within xposed by searching SD in the download section. Alternatively i have also used this app from the play store as well https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=jrummy.sdfix&hl=en i have to reset the SD permissions every time i start fresh because the permissions issue is with kitkat 4.4.2 and not with the phone i don't believe. I hope this helps some and if i can help further let me know. Cheers
