Help Linking to Pc/Laptop

Grrrrrrrr...

I'm the proud owner of a new Desire HD. 4 days in I'm ready to kill somebody!

One problem.

The thing I thought would be simple...linking it to computer so I can put music, films, photos, etc is proviing tiresome and impossible.

Running on XP Pro, hook it up and it keeps coming back with some random drivers not found message. I've tried loking on net to find solutions and have got lots of diffierent install this, do that, stand on one leg results.

Please please please somebody help me!

Have you installed the HTC Sync software or are you going freestyle?

Sadly I'm not of the technical know-how to 'freestyle'.

I've installed HTC SYNC (from net as couldnt get SD card to open) and it now works...mostly thanks to other threads about changing the USB port.

All up and running now. For the time being.

lol, when I said freestyling I meant just mounting it as an external disc without the Sync software.

Glad you got it sorted anyway.
