Linux (ubuntu) cant see T989 SGS2 !!

phone charges but when i hit lsusb in terminal i come up with nothing samsung related!

does this mean i have a faulty usb cable? even though it charges / connects everything else just fine?

it could be the cable, I've had that issue, try another one if you can! I have to do a Fresh Ubuntu install on my laptop this weekend, I'll try it, but it should be recognized.
