Root [List] EVO Shift ROMs & Kernels

So I read up on how to flash a ROM. Very simple; wipe this, wipe that, click here, click there, boom! Your ROM is flashed. So do i just flash v1.75 and then flash 1.76 as i would 1.75? Or do i need to replace the v1.75 file with the v1.76 file?

Man your lucky every time I check this site you've just posted :D

When you flash v1.75 do a full wipe, Wiping dalvik, cache and data. Then, while still in recovery just flash v1.76 without wiping. Since your new to rooting I would suggest using Dodge's ext-3 kernel (less work involved). Once you flash like I suggested, let the phone boot, then Give it a few minutes for the ROM to settle. Then go back into recovery and flash the kernel. This time only wiping dalvik and cache.. no need to wipe data.

This isn't necessarily the steps you HAVE to take but I would recommend it since it your first ROM flash.

I flashed the dodge 1.3 kernal over the 1.75 & 1.76 Rom and upon rebooting i got stuck on the HTC screen. What now? Tried wiping dalvik cache again as someone said to do so on the xda forums but that didn't work. Still gets stuck on the htc screen. Should i recover back the stock rom?

Yeah i flashed the Rom, rebooted totally fine. Then flashed the kernal, rebooted, and it got stuck on the HTC screen. The kernal said it uploaded fine when in was in clockworkmod recovery
