Help Location found

I was wondering if anyone else out there is getting the location found notification popping up constantly? It seems as every time I look at my phone I have to clear this from my notifications. Any ideas? Thanks.
 
I believe that's the Verizon Location agent causing that notification. Try going into your app settings and disabling Verizon Location agent and see if it stops. You can just use Google Location services instead.

Just disabled this app, hopefully this is the solution, we'll see. I can't imagine it's good for battery life if the phone is constantly searching for its location.
 
Well I think I figured it out. After disabling Droid zap it seems to be much better. I also set my location mode to device only. It still pops up occasionally, but not every time I pick up my phone. If you didn't know already you can view which apps are requesting your location under location in notification panel.

Turn off gps completely (battery saving) and it won't do it at all.

Disregard this as I don't think it's the solution to this annoyance, sorry.

Hey, if you don't like something, turn it off from being used. Nothing new, right? Just like leaving BT on drains faster than not. No OS differs in this respect. If you have your GPS running often, it shortens the battery life. This is a fact of life.
 
And, to echo red arrow, keeping the location services on is part of what allows the apps you use to give you the information that you want more quickly. I always leave wifi, blue tooth, and location services on, with what I see as little impact on my battery life. I don't expect my battery to last two days. It's all a part of what makes the smart phone work I believe.
 
I've never seen the notification.

Location ...
High Accuracy - GPS, WiFi, and mobile networks
Battery saving - WiFo and mobile networks
Device only - GPS

I usually use Battery saving

For most circumstances, location services does not need the battery hog known as the GPS. Then you just turn on GPS ad you need it.
