Updated via ota Monday I think
Stock yakju no root etc

Just noticed that my location is no longer working
I checked all the settings and all seems fine but when I access via maps it shows history running up to the ota but nothing after it

I'm seem to be having no problem with mine, after updating to 4.1.2. I'd suggest checking your settings and rebooting the phone, see if that helps.

Do you have Google Maps with it's extras (Local, Navigation etc.) installed and checked the settings within those, too? (I know you mentioned maps, just checking to make sure they're the Google ones!)

Yes I have the latest Google maps
I'll go through all options again to make sure they are ticked accordingly

I have heard of people having luck opting out of location functions and then turning it back on. Reboot your phone in between.

OK so I seem to have been through all the options
Ticked what needs ticking in location settings
Even gone through maps and Google now and nothing everything is as it should be

Should I report this on Google product forums

Do you notice if any of your other apps are having problems (even tiny problems)? This could be caused by the OTA update where some or one of the files for Google Now got corrupted. It could be all that is needed is to just wipe the data for Google Location, Maps, and Navigation.

If clearing the data does not work, you could try uninstalling all of the updates for Google Maps and then reinstalling.

A last resort would be a factory reset (if you're rooted, this is done via recovery), which would probably fix your problem. I'm pretty sure Google tech support will make this suggestion as one of the troubleshooting steps to try.
