Location not right

My location is off and it's bugging me to no end. No matter where I am it tells me I'm in this small town between my house and the city. Any ideas? It's got to be Google Maps, right?

EDIT: I fixed it - by uninstalling Google Maps 5.0.0. Too bad, that compass seemed pretty cool.

Its made by Samsung and they suck. I've had 3 Vibrants replaced within a week because this phones GPS sucks ass. You could try rooting it and flashing a new rom but even thats hit or miss. You might as well have one of those toy army compass' and a map.

I have been having the same issue with Google Maps. It shows that I am in the correct location but it says I am in LA which is 400 miles south of me. This is also happening on my GF's Aria. So I am thinking that there is an issues with Google Maps

I had issues on the stock T-Mo ROM, then I installed the latest (2.2) Axura Froyo ROM and my issues went away.

Its got to be Google Maps. Today, I was looking up a store on-line and the same thing happened. I did a broader search and all the stores were coming up as the wrong city. I then googled my city hall and it gave me the correct address to city hall... just with the wrong town. At least I know it's not the phone now.
