Help Location problems with HTC Desire C

Hello,

I have an HTC Desire C. The Location function (without GPS) normally works fine but for some reason it now got stuck to a location where I was last week. So the phone keeps thinking I'm in Belgium while I'm back in London.

When I turn on apps like Google Maps, they actually locate me properly. Other apps like the time/weather widget still locate me in Belgium; and other apps like Railway or other more sophisticated weather apps just can't locate me anywhere.

It happened once only in the past and I could only get around it by resetting the entire phone and uninstalling all apps.

Does anyone have a simpler solution to suggest?

Hi davidep. The only time my phone got lost I powered it down, removed the battery for a bit, returned it and rebooted. The hard reset cleared it's mind and it worked fine afterwards. I hope this helps. Welcome to Android Forums.
