Help locations app keeps popping up!

my phone keeps flasing on and when i unlock it says "GPS satelites must be enabled to use location service" if i click cancel it starts again so i turn gps on and it says "you need the following navigation license to accomplish this trip" united kingdom - buy -voiucher - sync license so i clicked buy downloaded free uk map and it doesn't do anything. i cant even delete Loacations app anyone have any solutions ? its making me crazy
 
i think if i remember right there is a option in the settings that allow it to connect or pop up or starts automatic

Hi, I have a 1yr old HTC Desire HD and I have the EXACT same issue and it is DRIVING ME CRAZYYYYYYYYY! I have had enough of this phone, it has involved nothing but problems. For the past 3 weeks I have had the location/navigation app keep popping up saying "Satellites must be enabled to use location service". I press cancel and it exits for a couple of seconds and then BANG it reappears again. It is killing my battery so quickly, and I can't type a text message without having to exit the bloody thing 10 times. Even when I am in a phone call it will suddenly open, and strangely the speak phone will come on. I have to keep fighting against the phone's will so I can actually do with it what I want. It's like it is dictating everything I am doing. PLEASE does anyone have any solutions to this? I have tried downloading the "no-dock" app but it has made no difference. I have cleaned out the charge and headphone jack. Please help! I want to throw my phone against the wall! :mad:
 
I have the exact same problem. I assumed it was a short cut that I kept accidentally pressing, but whatever it is, I'd really like it to go away.
 
I did some googling and, bizarre as it sounds, I think the problem is a dodgy connection in the mini USB port. I found that blowing it out, keeping the port clean and being gentle when plugging my charger in and out seemed to fix the problem.
 
Omg.. I Have the exact same problem as this and it is driving me absolutely crazzzzzzzyyyy!!!! And its making it even worse by the loud speaker coming on everytime I make a call or someone calls me grrrrrrr!!!!
 
I have got the same issue. Been onto HTC support and been through various options;

- Clearing Location data
- Wiping the cache partition
- Factory Reset
- Formatting the SD Card

Sadly in my case it seems to be related to the Micro USB slot as sometimes I plug in the lead and it detects my computer and all is well, wiggle it slightly and all of a sudden my phone thinks its in the car cradle and the car panel pops up or it loads locations.

I was hoping for a software fix
 
oh god im so pissed off with my phone now. i get the same problems as you all. i tried the suggestions htc said to hd images but it still comes on. i have had the phone two years now and thats it... its been back to htc five times and after one time it came back with another case but had been chewed...i upgrade in one month....cant wait...samsung s3....
