Lock button change

Is there anyway of changing the button to initiate the unlock on the desire? I am so used to using the home button on my G1 its starting to grate me.

Welcome to the forum.
The only way i know is to root & use a custom rom, but that's not to say there isn't another way.
Have you tried looking through the apps?

I use Widget Locker. It offers many options and is very customizable (you can select which buttons work when the phone is locked, with which button you can unlock the phone, whether the touchscreen can be interracted with when the phone is locked, widgets etc). Also Goto lockscreen is nice but it didn't really lock the phone in my experience, but maybe they have improved it with updates so it's worth a try.
