Help lock screen behavior schedule?

looking to see if i can schedule my lock screen to be more secure while at work.

at home i'm fine with slide to unlock, but at work i'd like to set a password or pattern unlock behavior. i'd like it to do it automatically instead of having to set the password everyday.

so far my searches have yielded nothing.

You may want to look into changing profiles based on location rather than just time. In increasing order of functionality (and price):
Llama has some capabilities to change the lock screen based on location, but the dev says this feature is a bit buggy.
Locale is also strong at this.
Tasker can definitely do what you're looking for, but it's more work to set up.

i don't always have location tracking on though. are you sure tasker can change security/lock screen settings on a schedule? if yes, then that solves my issue.

I use Tasker and absolutely love it. It's not as difficult as some make it sound. And you learn some new way to use it all the time. I have properties just for work. When I get to work, tasker sees that I'm connected to our wi-fi. It then turns my phone to vibrate only, shuts off data and gps. You could add lock screen options if you wanted.

I use Unlock with WiFi (I believe that's the name of the app). It lets you designate specific hotspots that when you're connected to them, the pin/password screen is disabled. Any other time, the extra security is active.

BTW, tasker doesn't require GPS (or wifi) to determine your location. If you want to keep GPS and WIFI off, you can let tasker use the cell towers to determine where you are. (lower power consumption than the other options). It isn't as accurate as GPS/wifi since the cell towers cover a much larger area, but it works pretty well.
