Help Lock screen glitch after using Cubed player

After using the lock screen controls that can be enabled with Cubed media player, the lock screen glitches. After pausing, closing, or otherwise ending music, when I hit the Sleep/Wake button the screen flickers then when I hit it again it goes straight to my home screen - no slide to unlock. Any fix to this other than just not using the lock screen widget? I enjoy Cubed's themes more than the stock player.

I have a similar issue where the option to have controls displayed on the lock screen only works at random times. The lock pattern screen shows up glitchy and not centered as well

A few other people have been having the problem as well and commented on the app. Didn't read anything about a fix.
