Help Lock screen malfunctioning when receiving call or playing music

Whenever I am playing music or receive a call, the lock screen image of the album cover or contact is always cut off. Right now I am runing AOKP latest, but I was having this problem before on codename and I'm pretty sure with stock (although I was only on stock for like 8 hours so I can't be 100% sure). When changing roms I wiped everything and still had the issue. I have a few pictures that might explain the problem better.

I guess it's possible that this is how the lock screen is supposed to look, can anyone confirm that theirs does/doesn't looks like this? Mine looks completely normal when I'm not receiving a call or playing music.

pretty sure that is normal....thats how it is on my phone as well.
been like that since 4.0.2 IIRC

So it's just an android issue? That's disappointing and looks pretty ugly. It also doesnt show the entire album cover/contact and cuts parts off.

its not really an "issue" it's just the way it was designed. something that i actually like.
maybe a DEV can do something about that, but that IS the way it is supposed to look.
