Hello,
Apple does this well: when the player/phone is in your pocket, Apple requires a double-home-click to enable on-screen media controls (without unlocking).
My S4 only needs a single home button click to display the controls. This causes the songs/volume to randomly change when the device is in my pocket.
Does anyone know of a good media player that has lock screen controls that avoid this problem (with device lock enabled)? Also the media player needs to set the "last played" values in the tracks.
