Lock Screen Not Working

So as of today my lock screen just didn't show up anymore after i turned on my phone from sleep mode. It shows up when i restart my phone but when i unlock it and then black out my screen the lock screen disappears once again. I have tried reinstalling the lock screen and had the same results...

I have the vanilla lock screen installed on my rooted Htc hero.

did it suddenly dissappear?its the fresh rom or the aosp 2.2 rom?

What Rom are you on ?? and when you say you have Vanilla lock screen, you mean the lock screen that came with your Rom and one that you downloaded, if it is an app uninstall and re install, if not then boot into recovery and wipe cache, if still no go, then Nandroid, then boot into recovery again, and wipe cache and davlik and also format cache, then reflash your Rom

I had this same exact thing happen to me while using a prior CM7 Nightly. A reboot fixed it; not sure why it happened but it has since gone away with the RC2 release.

I'm using fresh Rom 2.40 and I removed my original HTC lock screen and replaced it with the vanilla lock screen. I havent tried formatting my dalvik cache yet but ill try that once I get home

So i formatted my dalvik cache on my HTC hero and have had the same results. My lock shows up on boot, But after i unlock the vanilla lock and black out my screen by pressing the power button. Once i turn my screen back on once again by pressing the power button their is no lock screen.

Got you, what I would do is flash the Rom again, and then of course make a Nandroid first, then do not install your V lock screen and see how the phone works, if there are no issues, then you k ow it is an issue with the V lock screen you installed
