Help Lock Screen Notification Dropdown

Alright, I thought I saw some place that you could access the notification drop down from the lock screen with out unlocking? Is this the case? If so, I can not seem to get mine to work.

I havent seen that yet. I have seen stock text app display a popup of the text on the screen that you can read while locked. Actually my screen is locked and I was able to slide down my notification bar.

Mine does it. I don't know if its a setting somewhere or not. I'll have to poke around and see.
If you pull the notification bar down and select the settings button, it'll unlock and take you to settings.

I also noticed the volume works with the lockscreen as well.

From what I can tell it depends on if you have security enabled or not. When I have face unlock or a PIN set the notification pane will not work on the lockscreen if I select None for a security it works just fine

Got it. The security was turned on, once I turned it off, it does not work. So If you use face unlock, pattern or pin, you can not access this feature.
