Help lock screen player?

is there a way to control the music player on any other music player from the lockscreen? im at work and i get tired of pulling out the the phone having to unlock the screen just to change songs. my blackberry would let me skip songs by holding the volume buttons thats the one and only thing about that POS i miss

Poweramp will do it too but it's like a 30 day trial version that they give you for free.

It's the best player I've used though...
