Help Lock screen replacement

Anyone know of a lock screen replacement that allows widgets but can still utilize security options like pattern lock? I've tried a few but no luck. I thought about Widget Locker but I'd read a lot of posts about it draining battery. Any suggestions?
 
Have you tried other launchers? Some you can customize to your taste. I've tried Nova and Go. Pretty sure there are a lot more.
 
Widget locker is probably going to be your best bet. There are more options if you decide to root your device. ROM's like ViperROM let you enable more widget options on the lock screen.
 
I'm using Nova but I don't see any customization options for the lock screen in the settings. Widget Locker I've read about but I can't verify it has a pattern lock our not. Also, I've read about some people experiencing battery drain with it. I got this phone on an Edge plan so I gestate to root it because it needs to be traded in in a non-rooted state...

There is no pattern lock built into it. when you have WL installed and you turn on your device WL will be the main screen with the widgets. Swiping to unlock will bring you to the stock pattern lock screen. As soon as you enter the pattern your phone will unlock.

It works really well imo and have never had an issue with it. I bought it a long time ago and it works seamlessly with the stock pattern lock.
 
I bought and installed it last night. Set my security settings to skip the stock lock screen and go straight to the security screen. Slapped dash clock into widget locker and ask seems to be going well. Can't get the dash click widget to be interactive even though it is on my Nexus 7 but I'm still going through settings.
 
If you gain root and s off you can disable htcs lock screen and it will in its place give you the stock kit kat lock screen. Also you can try holo locker which is similar but I think you have to buy the pro version to add widgets
 
Went with Widget Locker. Normally I'd just riot the phone but I got it on the Edge program and they won't take back rooted phones. Don't want to risk not being able to unroot it

Agree with you on that especially since the ruu that takes you back to stock out of the box like is already pre rooted so stay stock unless u feel like you wanna keep the device for 2 years but flagships come out every year and the best is always better next year
